Whatever the place you are looking for for your wedding on the French Riviera, you will find something that makes your heart sing.

From Chateau, villas to grand hotels, there is something for everyone.

You know my love for Paris, but I have to admit that in the summer, I love to do weddings on the French Riviera, because of the sun, the sea and the art of “dolce farniente” (the sweetness of doing nothing, just like in Italy) in the south are all there.

I have prepared a list of my favorite places for your luxury weddings on the French Riviera.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you are looking for a wedding photographer in the area and wish to be introduced to these places.

French Riviera Coast Wedding

What is the French Riviera?

Located in the extreme southeast of France, the French Riviera is the entire coastline bordering the Mediterranean Sea, from Marseille to Menton. The French Riviera is characterized by its Provencal and Mediterranean character.

It offers beautiful sea views, hilltop villages, beautiful yellow streets and seaside walks that you will not see anywhere else. Its most famous cities are Nice, St Tropez, St Jean Cap Ferrat or Cannes. Each towns and villages of the French Riviera has its own charm, and is home to beautiful places.

Why get married on the French Riviera?

How is the weather on the French Riviera?

The French Riviera is the region where it is “good to live” as they say. It is a region that is sunny most of the year, with its 2700 hours of sunshine per year. Temperatures almost never go below 0, and even in winter it is not uncommon to find people on the terrace.
Mild temperatures begin to arrive in late March and last until late October. If you are planning a wedding on the French Riviera, the risk of bad weather is very low compared to other regions.

How to access to the French Riviera?

The main airport is Nice, located in the middle of the French river, and in addition to being well situated, it serves international flights. There is also the airport of Marseille located at 1h30 by car from Nice. Paris airport also serves Nice and Marseille airports in only 1 hour.
The region is also well served by trains and buses between the different cities.
But be careful once you get in the cities, it is better to travel by Uber or cab as local transport is rare or difficult to access.

What to do on the French Riviera?

The French Riviera is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, so you can enjoy many water activities during your wedding on the French Riviera. For example, you can go boating in the calanques, scuba diving for the more adventurous, or even rent a deck chair for the day and sunbathe for hours with a cocktail in hand!
For the gourmets, the cuisine of the French Riviera is a mixture of sea flavors with Provencal flavors, the gastronomy is very famous.
And for the wine lovers, several famous Chateaux and vineyards are located on the French Riviera, a wine tour is a good idea for an activity.
